I attended Tessa’s pregnancy yoga class from 20 weeks pregnant, right up to the day my waters broke. I had a very physical job so yoga really helped me remain supple and comfortable throughout my pregnancy. It also gave me the time out once a week to connect with baby and my own needs. Being in a group of other mums to be was so nice, we could all chat at the end about how we were feeling.
The breathing technique taught in the yoga classes helped so much in labour. My labour ended with an emergency c-section, but at no point did I feel out of control or stressed due to the breathing and mind set taught in yoga and hypnobirthing classes.
Yoga has also helped me post birth, helping my body heal and recover from major surgery, and the mums and baby class gives me and Albert extra time to bond and connect. Alongside the group support of all the other mums in the class.
Tessa has gone beyond the call of duty during this pandemic, teaching classes online (for free), setting up a mums what's app group, organising social distancing walks more recently, all at the same time as just becoming a mum herself.
Thank you Tessa, we all appreciate it so much.
