FAQs - Pregnancy Yoga

Not sure if it’s for you? Here are a few FAQs…

• What is it?

Classes are specialised for birth, the yoga is safe for you and baby and designed to help you prepare for birth, meeting your baby and the postnatal period. We cover active birth positions, breathing techniques and what to expect during and after labour.

• When should I start coming?

I recommend coming from after your first scan and you can do right up to (and during) birth.

• Is it safe to do? I’ve never done yoga before?

Yoga is safe for pregnancy and will help your body to stay strong and you to feel in control. I am a fully trained yoga teacher and have done additional specialised training in pre and postnatal yoga, so you are in very safe hands. You don’t need any experience of yoga, it’s designed for beginners.

• How much is it?

Classes are £12 PAYG or £55 for 5 and there's no time limit on when to use them.

• How do I book?

All bookings are online www.tessaclemsonyoga.co.uk/classes

• What if I’m tired and want to do it from home?

You can join online via Zoom or in the studio.

• Where is the studio?

Mill Street in Great Harwood, there’s lots of free parking and it’s within 10/15 minutes of SO many places. We have yogis come from Clitheroe, Whalley, Rishton, Clayton, Accrington, Oswaldtwistle, Feniscowles, Preston, Rawtenstall, Chipping, Penwortham… check out Google maps if you’re not sure BB67NN 💛

• Do I need a mat?

I have mats to borrow, or you can bring your own.

• What should I wear?

Anything comfy! Leggings/joggers. Bring a drink too if you’d like.

• Do you have anything for my birth partner to get involved with too?

Yes. I also run positive birth workshops for you and your birth partner to come to and we have FREE Infant Feeding Sessions monthly. We also have the amazing Hypnobirthing teacher/midwife Jennie running sessions from the studio, so lots of families do both yoga + Hypnobirthing @jentlehypnobirthing
